TMP System SW HW V3.8

GEOPHYSICS

Spontaneous Potential

Description:

TMP was designed to operate as a high impedance volt-meter using non-polarized electrodes in spontaneous potential measurement. This methodology principle consist of measuring the speed of a fluid present in a porous material which experiences a pressure variation as a result of volcanic changes.

The TMP digitizes the voltage variations and converts them into data which are sent to the processing base for its further interpretation. The spontaneous potential methodology is a kind of geophysical register useful in volcanoes monitoring and watching.
